Vincent Desrosiers, a doctoral student in Professor Frédéric Georges Fontaine’s research group, has received a CGCC travel grant. This allowed him to participate in the first edition of the Canada – UK Join Symposium on Coordination Chemistry (CANUK 2022), a symposium bringing together researchers from Canada and the United Kingdom working in the field of coordination chemistry. His poster entitled “Metal-Free Transfer Borylation: a Novel Approach to C-H Functionalization” in which he presented his research on the development of metal-free catalysts for the borylation of C-H bonds, important intermediates in pharmaceutical and materials chemistry. This presentation won him the award for best poster presentation.
Vincent would like to thank the CGCC for making this opportunity possible.
