Biography

Université de Montréal
Regular Researcher

The major aim of Professor’s Lebel research program is to develop novel catalytic green processes in organic chemistry. Her research program addresses the development of transition metal-catalyzed processes and the discovery of recyclable reagents. The development of multi-catalytic processes that mimic the biosynthesis in living cells is another very exciting area that is actively pursued. More recently she devoted also part of her research program to the development of novel, innovative continuous flow processes, that take fully advantage of the opportunities offered by this technology. The fundamental aspect of the research is also an instrumental part of her research program, as the development of synthetic organic chemistry is directly related to the better understanding of reaction mechanism.
