Department of Chemistry, Université de Montréal
Regular Researcher
Ehsan Hamzehpoor is an Assistant Professor of Organic Materials Chemistry at the Université de Montréal, where he directs the Laboratoire des Matériaux Organiques Poreux (LMOP). His research program focuses on developing synthetic methodologies and innovative techniques for the design of porous and functional organic materials such as covalent organic frameworks (COFs), cages, and macrocycles. His work spans photophysics, sensing, catalysis, and applications in environmental and energy contexts. Prior to joining UdeM in 2025, he was a Banting and Killam Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia and an FRQNT scholar during his PhD at McGill University. In recognition of his contributions to chemistry, he was named one of the Top 100 CAS Future Leaders in 2025.
