The Chabot group focuses on the study of oxidizing functional groups, particularly those based on nitrogen oxides and diazo compounds, and their incorporation into compounds derived from main group inorganic elements (Si, P, etc.). The high reactivity of the species under investigation makes them useful in a wide range of fields, including organic synthesis, energetic materials, pharmaceutical chemistry, and photophysically active materials.
