Regular Researcher
Dr. Hazlett’s group researches heterogeneous catalysis with applications in environmental catalysis and green chemicals and fuels. In particular, she researches catalytic converters for diesel and alternative fuel emissions, catalysts for methanol dehydration to dimethyl ether, and catalysts for other sustainable processes including making sustainable aviation fuel. The research lab designs and synthesizes catalysts, performs bench scale reaction studies, and performs in situ spectroscopic studies to evaluate novel catalysts for these applications.
