Laval University
Regular Researcher
Dominic Larivière is a Full Professor (Analytical Chemistry and Radioecology) in the Department of Chemistry at Université Laval. Since 2009, he has been leading the Laboratory of Radioecology, a university-based research facility dedicated to the assessment of radioactivity in the environment and biota.
Dr. Larivière is a recognized expert in radiochemistry and radionuclide detection in the environment, particularly in the detection of actinides and short-lived radionuclides by inorganic mass spectrometry. Over the past 20 years, he has developed internationally recognized expertise in nuclear forensics, automated radiochemical separations, and environmental monitoring of radioactivity using inorganic mass spectrometry.
He has received several awards, including the Young Investigator Award from Health Canada in 2008 and the Founders Award of the Radiochemical and Radiobioassay Measurement Society in 2017.
