UdeM’s End-of-Year Distinguished Lecture: “A Journey Through the World of Nitrogen” with Professor Hélène Lebel

On December 10, 2025, the Université de Montréal invites its community to attend the annual End-of-Year Distinguished Lecture, presented by Professor Hélène Lebel Co Director of CGCC and member of Department of Chemistry. The event will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the MIL Campus Science Complex (Block A, Room A-4502.1).
Titled “A Journey Through the World of Nitrogen,” the lecture will offer an exploration of more than 25 years of research in organic synthesis and the design of nitrogen-containing molecules. Professor Lebel will share a series of scientific vignettes highlighting the methodologies developed in her laboratory to build complex molecular architectures. She will also discuss future perspectives, including the potential of these molecules as electroactive materials for emerging energy-storage technologies.
This lecture is a unique opportunity to discover the scientific curiosity, creativity, and methodological advances that shape contemporary organic chemistry research.
Free and open to all.
